10 months!

Weight: Keep forgetting to weigh her but i'm thinking 19.5 lbs?

Size Clothing: I packed away all her 9 month clothes. She's definitely getting taller faster these days. She's wearing 6-12 month clothing and 12 month clothing. We're pretty much done with onesies. She's mostly wearing tshirts and jeans/leggings or romper/dresses. Can't believe she's almost a toddler!!

Milestones: She's still mostly army crawling but starting to crawl regularly. She'll do a couple regular crawl steps and then switch to army crawling. She's pulling up on everything lately, and even starting to dance and do squats! She shakes her head no (pretty sure she doesn't know what it means) and will clap. i'm hoping she learns kiss soon! she's also saying alot of dada and baba (dad in chinese) but i'm pretty sure she doesn't know what it means yet.

loves food!

Food: She's eating 3 solid meals a day with some milk/formula in her straw cup. she's starting to get 1 snack a day. She's eating pretty well, but alot of the same things over and over. She likes cheese, mac and cheese, eggs, green beans and broccoli the best. Most days she likes chicken and beef and quesadilla. Still not really into fruit although she did eat some grapes recently. I try to give her at least 1 of her favorite foods to eat each meal. i don't want to have to cater to a picky kid but then i want to make sure she eats enough! so trying to balance it. we have given her a few tastes of ice cream and she doesn't seem really into it. must be like her daddy!
its a big world out there..

Schedule: We're down to 2 naps! at daycare she's down to 1!! oh my growing up fast! And she's also in the process of dropping one of the mid day bottles!! ptl can't wait!
7am - wakeup, 6.5 oz bottle
8am - scrambled egg with cheese, cheese, breakfast sausage, straw cup of water
9-11am - nap!
11am - 2-3oz milk in a straw cup
12pm - veggies, meat, cheese, pasta, and/or egg, 2-3oz straw cup of milk
1:30-3:30pm - nap!
3:30pm - 6oz bottle
5:30pm - dinner veggies, meat, cheese, and/or pasta, 2-3 oz straw cup of milk
7pm - 6oz bottle, bath, brush teeth, sleep!

clearly not sleeping...

Sleep: she's still sttn! she hasn't tried to stand up in her crib so thats good. we lowered her crib and it didn't seem to affect her sleep. she naps about 3-4 hours at home (2 naps about 1.5 hours each), 1.5 hours at daycare. her two catnaps at daycare seem to have consolidated into one nap. She usually will take a short cat nap when she gets home from daycare because she's so exhausted.

love how she looks when she's sleeping. her and her blankie!

Her favorite things: she likes her leapfrog activity table, walks with her daddy and doggies, being lifted in the air (not thrown tho, that scares her!), climbing over our legs, our phones, her dogs toys (yuck)
Bathtime

Fun in the yard

Not sure what she's doing but this pic makes me laugh everytime!

9 months

Weight: 18lb 13oz (61 percentile)

Height: 26.75in (18 percentile)

Head Circumference: 45.3cm (86 percentile)

Pretty much stayed at the same percentiles as 6 month but alittle taller!

Size Clothing: No change since last month. She's wearing 9 month and 6-12 month clothing. Her growth has definitely slowed down the past couple months. Can't believe I'll soon be looking into toddler clothing.

Getting closer to pulling up!

Milestones: She's still army crawling with no real signs of regular crawling. She's able to sit up by herself . She hasn't pulled up completely. She can go from sitting to her knees and from an elevated sitting position (like on my lap) to standing, but hasn't done a full sit to stand. She's doing alot of downward dog lately so i know she wants to stand. She also learned No (shakes her head when she doesn't want something) and learned how to clap. Can't wait til she learns how to kiss. not so great milestone is she's def going through a separation anxiety phase. its not very bad, but when someone she doesn't know holds her she gives her cry face, and if we don't get her then eventually she ends up crying. so sad. hope this phase passes soon! she's such a ham when shes around new people, just not when they're holding her or if mom and dad walk away.

First bento!

Food: She has been eating 3 solid meals a day. We've pretty much stopped all purees. She got sick in the beginning of the month and did not have much of an appetite. After she got better all she wanted were finger foods. so now we're doing 3 meals of finger foods. i actually like this better than purees because she seems to love eating alot more than before! she's mastered the pincer grasp so is able to feed herself completely. She's also started taking the straw cup better so she drinks about 1-2 oz a day from it which is much better than 1 sip a day just a couple weeks ago! so far her favorite foods are breakfast sausage, pasta, bread and cheese. she doesn't mind veggies but usually eats them last. she does not like fruit right now! im not sure if its the texture or the taste but she doesn't really eat any fruit i offer. working on that...

Typical day at home!

Schedule: She is still between 2 and 3 naps a day altho more 2 nap days this month than last. A typical day at home looks like this -
7am - wakeup, 6.5 oz bottle
8am - cheese, bread, fruit (usually doesn't eat much), straw cup of milk or water
9-11am - nap!
11am - 6.5oz bottle
12pm - veggies, meat, cheese, pasta, straw cup of milk or water
1-3pm - nap!
3pm - ~7oz bottle
5pm ish - catnap sometimes
6pm - dinner veggies, meat, cheese, straw cup of milk or water
7pm - ~7oz bottle, bath, brush teeth, sleep!

the naps at home usually range from 1.5hr to 3 hours. On day care days her naps are usually 30-45 min 3 times a day

Sleep: she's still STTN. she did have two nights where she woke up in the middle of the night when she was sick :-( some tylenol made her better and she passed out again. we also had two instances where we had to drive an hour + after her bed time for wedding/birthday and she transferred from the car to her crib well. she did cry in the car tho for about 15 min on one trip. but once she was in bed she was good. her naps have been good altho somedays it's as short as 1 hour. i miss the days where it was consistently 2 hours. usually it's at least 1.5 hours tho. a few days it was 2.5+ hours. she's a good sleeper tho and we are thankful. she's been sleeping in til 7am (when i usually get her anyway) so its been great.

She loves being on daddy's shoulders!

Her favorite things: She loves finger foods! which also means she loves putting anything else in her mouth too :-/ she loves making people laugh with her cheese face and her clapping. she loves getting read to. one book (moo, baa, lalala) she always laughs at the end as if she knows what i'm saying. she loves going on walks with her daddy and dogs. she still loves mum mums, puffs, and yogurt melts. singing the wheels on the bus and abc song usually calms her down.
Movie at the park!

Love this new face, not sure what it is but its cute!

Her first fever/ear infection :-(

But shes okay after Tylenol!!

8 months!

Weight: 18lb 3oz (~60 percentile)

Size Clothing: She's wearing 9 month sleepers. She wears 6-12 month or 9 month dresses, onesies, and pants. Her feet are small still tho and she fits in 3-6 month shoes!

She's hardly in sleepers anymore but she looks like a baby when she is!

Milestones: She is army crawling like a champ now. She hasn't started pulling up or sitting by herself yet. Kind of worried but at the same time kind of relieved that we only need to baby proof things close to the ground. I have a feeling she might be a late walker! She has 2 teeth now. The week before she sprouted the first tooth she was fussier than normal. Just kind of whiny. But I think it was also cause she was tired from daycare and because it was a gray wonder week time. Her sleep thankfully wasn't affected at all. The second tooth didn't seem to affect her much. She's sitting up alot better. For the most part I can leave her by herself but she still tips over sometimes... I kind of think she lets herself fall tho. She goes from sitting to crawling by herself. She learned to open drawers and to not crawl into the wall or other furniture (for the most part).

Standing, nbd

Food: She has been eating 3 solid meals a day. She doesn't seem to like it very much. The only thing she loves are mum mums and puffs. She is getting better at the pincer grasp. But she usually just grabs a puff with her fist and shoves it in her mouth. She's been slowly eating more finger foods. But mostly still purees at this point. She eats about 1-2oz of purees 3 times a day. Im trying to incorporate finger foods but she isn't too interested in it unless its a puff or mummum. For finger foods so far she's eaten bananas, blueberries, chicken and carrots. She'll eat it but doesn't seem to enjoy it that much.

Started using high chairs!

Schedule: She seems to be in between 2 and 3 naps a day. A typical day at home looks like this -
7am - wakeup, 7 oz bottle
8am - ~2 oz puree fruit, alittle banana, puffs
9-11am - nap!
11am - 6oz bottle
12pm - 2 oz veggies and meat puree, puffs
1-3pm - nap!
3pm - ~7oz bottle
5pm ish - catnap sometimes
6pm - dinner 2oz of meat and veggies, puffs
7pm - ~7oz bottle, bath, brush teeth, sleep!

the naps at home usually range from 1.5hr to 3 hours. On day care days her naps are usually 30-45 min 3 times a day

Sleep: she's been STTN like a champ. No hiccups this month. Usually down around 745pm and up around 7am. I can usually hear her chatting to herself as early as 6, but usually closer to 630-7am. Her naps are good at home. I love that I can put her down in her crib for night time and naps and she doesn't cry anymore. If she's not ready to sleep she'll play with her blankie alittle, but she's usually out within 10-15 min if not sooner. I"m pretty sure the 3rd nap will be gone by 9 months.

Her favorite things: She loves being thrown in the air by her daddy. She loves sitting in shopping carts now too. I noticed that she gets really excited when I drop her off at daycare when I punch in the security code at the front door. she knows that sound! She loves exploring now that she can crawl better. She loves it when we read to her, well when she's not trying to eat the book. And she definitely loves her blankie. It definitely calms her down when she's fussy.

Her cheese face!!
